Storybook Revision Week

In Week 7, Week 9, Week 11 and Week 13 you will be REVISING your Storybook. In a Revision Week, you are responsible for carefully revising the last story you added to your Storybook. You are also responsible for any other revisions that need to be made to other pages in your Storybook, including the Coverpage, Introduction, and any other Story Pages you have published previously.

If you did NOT do a new story last week, then you can add the story this week - but you need to submit the New Story assignment questions if you are turning in a late new story during a revision week. You should only answer the questions on this page if you actually turned in a new story last week and have completed the revisions to that story for this week's assignment.

Also, please do not assume that the instructor comments you received back from me are the only things you need to revise. I am not a perfect proofreader - in fact, NO ONE is a perfect proofreader. So, in addition to taking care of any suggestions you get from me and from from other students in the class, you also need to spellcheck and proofread your Story Page once again. Run the spellcheck, and read the Story Page to yourself out loud.

When you are done with the Revision assignment, notify the instructor by email. In the email, you MUST cut-and-paste the questions below, and confirm that the answer to all the questions is "yes" before you turn in the assignment. You do not have to put a "yes" next to each one; it's fine if you say "answer to all is yes," or something like that. Please give the email a subject line based on the class you are enrolled in ("MythFolklore Storybook Revisions " - "World Literature Storybook Revisions" - "Indian Epics Storybook Revisions").

Please confirm that the answer to each question is YES:

Is the link to your Coverpage from the list of Storybooks at the class website correct?
Does the title of your revised story appear on your Coverpage with a link to the Story Page?
Does the revised Story Page contain a link back to the Coverpage?
Did you spellcheck your revised story?
Did you proofread your revised story by reading it out loud to yourself?
Is your revised story 500-1000 words long?
Is your revised Author's note 200-300 words long?
Does your revised Story Page include complete Bibliography for your source(s)?
Does your revised Story Page include complete Image Information for your image(s)?
Does your revised Introduction contain a reference to EACH story you have included so far in your Storybook?

A Note About Project Deadlines. Everybody is strongly encouraged to complete their assignment on Monday, by the noon deadline. The only way you can get full credit for the assignment (10 points) is if you turn it it on Monday, before the Monday noon deadline (that's CST, Norman time).

Late assignments. You can receive partial credit for the Storybook assignment if you turn it in late, based on the following schedule:

  • assignments turned in on Monday after noon can receive up to 8 points credit
  • assignments turned in on Tuesday can receive up to 7 points credit
  • assignments turned in on Wednesday can receive up to 6 points credit
  • assignments turned in on Thursday before noon can receive up to 5 points credit

No late Storybook assignments will be accepted after noon on Thursday.
