This assignment has two parts, plus a Gradebook Declaration at the end.
PART ONE: You should have received an Orientation email about this class from the instructor, sent to your OU email address. Reply to the Orientation email with your answers to the questions in the email. If you did not receive a copy of the email, you need to contact the instructor.
PART TWO: Read the following information about email and class communications.
Check your OU email REGULARLY. You need to check your OU email regularly, preferably once a day. You can either check your OU email directly at exchange.ou.edu, or you can have your OU email forwarded to another address. In order to forward your OU email to another address, log on to account.ou.edu and follow the instructions there. Save your email for this course in a FOLDER. Your "Sent Items" folder should contain copies of the email that you send me, in case an email gets lost and you need to send it again (email is definitely not 100% reliable at OU). In addition, you should create another folder in your email where you can save the emails I send you. In particular, you need to save all the emails I send to you about your Storybook project. When you send me an email, make sure the Subject Line contains the COURSE NAME. Whenever you send me an email, it is essential that you include the name of the course in the Subject Line of the email - either Myth-Folklore or World Lit or Indian Epics, depending on which course you are enrolled in. If you are submitting an assignment by email, check the assignment to find out what other information you need to include in the Subject Line. Read the Class Announcements EVERY DAY. Every morning, Monday through Friday, there are new class announcements which you can find at the class website. You can also find the class announcements in Desire2Learn and at the course Ning site. It is very important that you read these announcements! If for some reason you miss the announcements one day, you can find announcements for the previous five days in Desire2Learn. You can also sign on to an email list so you will receive the Announcements in the form of a daily email if you want. If you have a question about any aspect of the course, please ASK. If you have read the class announcements for the day and you have a question that is not answered there, please ask! My full-time job is teaching these online courses, and I should be able to answer your email promptly during the week. I check email less frequently over the weekend, so if you send me an email on Saturday or Sunday I may be less slow in responding, but I will get back to you as soon as I can. |
DECLARATION: To receive credit for this assignment, make sure you complete the Gradebook Declaration.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: I have replied to the instructor's Orientation email which was sent to my OU email address. I have read the information about email and class communications for this course. |
