The best way to manage your time in this class is to work a week or two ahead. If you can work a week or two ahead, that way you won't have to worry about specific deadlines, and you will have plenty of room to maneuver is something comes up unexpectedly in your life that takes up all your time for a few days (job interviews, trip out of town, etc.).
In addition, to making the class less stressful, you can also get extra credit for working ahead! Starting in Week 1 of the class, you can get extra points for finishing the next week's work ahead of schedule. There are up to 2 points available each week for working ahead:
So, for example, if you finish the Week 1 assignments and have time to start working ahead on your Week 2 assignments, you can get extra credit - either for doing the reading assignments early, or for doing the Storybook early, or both. Notice that this extra credit does not involve extra work of any kind - it is just a bonus for taking the initiative to create your own schedule and work ahead.
One or two points per week may not sound like much, but it adds up - if you do the 2 points of Early Bird extra credit each week, that adds up to 28 points, which means you can skip an entire week of class assignments! So, in addition to reducing the stress and anxiety of doing your work on the day it is due, you can also finish up the class early - giving you some extra time to get ready for finals and end-of-semester projects in your other classes.
